Finavera signs MOU with Halfway River First Nation

Vancouver-based Finavera Renewables has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Halfway River First Nation for the development of four wind projects the company has under contract to BC Hydro. "This is a good day for us. Our community is looking forward to the opportunities in working with Finavera and we sincerely support Green Energy. I believe this is a win-win situation for our community, Finavera, and the Peace River Country," says Chief Ed Whitford.

What work have I done?

I work primarily for developers, lenders and equipment suppliers but since 2004 I have had the opportunity to work with most stakeholders in renewable energy projects including First Nations, utilities and landowners.

I have been retained to assist on many renewable energy projects including wind, solar, biomass and flare-gas from the front-end of site acquisition through the entire project development cycle to dispute resolution at the back-end of the project.

I have more years of experience in Canadian renewable energy projects than any other lawyer in the Province of Saskatchewan and would welcome the opportunity to work together with you.
